From the General Manager…..
The start of the 2010 season is here and we are off to a great start. The golf course and pro shop are open and we should continue to see improved weather as the days go by. Typically, frost will dictate how early the golf course is playable in the mornings. Depending on the temperature it may take as long as 11:00 am for the frost to dissipate. I suggest calling the pro shop before coming out if you have plans to play golf in the mornings throughout March and April. Paul and Kirk can give you up to date information as to when the golf course will open.
Chef Jim Powell and his entire staff are returning to Wuskowhan and are looking forward to an outstanding season. Jim is busily planning new lunch and dinner menus and is focusing on value, variety and quality. Expect to see more changes in the menu throughout the season as well as a number of weekly specials. If anyone has any specific requests, suggestions or menu ideas, please do not hesitate to contact Jim.
Beginning Friday, April 16, the restaurant and bar are open for service. Lunch service is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm. Dinner service begins on Thursday, May 13. We have planned an Opening Night Special that will feature two entrees plus one appetizer, choice of Greek or Tossed salad and dinner rolls, all for $30. Plan on saving this date on your calendar to come out and enjoy a wonderful meal. More information will follow concerning this dinner opening.
The Wednesday Night Specials were so popular last year will be expanded to every Wednesday this year. Different themes are planned from week to week and details for the Specials will be announced in advance. On Saturday, May 22 we have scheduled our first Wine Tasting party which will feature our selected wines for 2010. Also, on Saturday, June 26 a non-golf special event is scheduled in which I’m confident everyone will enjoy. We have planned A Murder/Mystery Party that involves an acting cast interacting with the audience. I’m sure everyone will enjoy this evening of fun and laughter. More information will follow in regards to these events.
